I'm actually really tired of people saying that white people need to pay for slavery. I'm black myself, but I feel like the people who deserve to be punished are long-gone. You're not getting that opportunity for revenge back. It's just not going to happen. The white people you're targeting now didn't do anything wrong. Don't get me wrong, there are some racist pricks out there of all races, but I let that roll off my back. I don't care. I know how to move on with my life. My two best friends are both white and they've done nothing but treat me well. I can't imagine them being enslaved to pay for their ancestors' mistakes.

The corporations and industry's that benefited are still here, and not all have changed their names. Research, read, learn. The suffering and struggle of post-slavery is ongoing. It's within the news headlines about the inner cities today! You are hopefully blessed to not live in one. Life there is rough. The scales of each American life, unfortunately is not balanced. It is payment for work done plus interest. Reperations...The First Nations, Native Americans got it. The Jewish got it. The Chinese got it! Hmm? Perhaps once that's done, the poverty, despair, and hopefullness can begin to heal old wounds? Novel thought. Look what an Appology did for South Africans..Hmm?
Well. I never said the nation was "great." I just said there's no need to punish every white person in the world for something they didn't personally do. Sorry you feel as though an entire race has to pay for the past, but I need to live my life without hating those around me. That's just my opinion. I was bullied all my childhood for being black in an all-white school, but you know what? I can't hate white people as a whole for the opinions of a particular selection of them. It's not fair. To say that their whole race needs to be enslaved is just a radical opinion that doesn't make anything right.
