I'm sorry if you felt I was trying to downplay racism. I thought that I made it clear how I felt about racism in the beginning of the post. What I was trying to show was that the violence experienced during slavery was not restricted to blacks. And to support my statement I will site just two well documented instances of white on white violence. The first should be obvious Nazis and Jews. Violence not based on the color of ones skin. Enough said. The next example, have you heard of a little book called the Malice Maleficarum. Commonly known as The Witches Hammer. With this book the Catholic church drowned, hung, racked, flayed, stoned, pressed, and screwed women and men. No not that kind of screwed. The kind of screwed where someone puts your fingers in a vice and starts turning. They even made new forms of torture. Look up the Pear of Anguish.

All this boils down to our ancestors, all of our ancestors were brutal. They did terrible things. Or had terrible things done to them. But we are not them. We do not have to live out the injustices of our past.

The OP was saying all whites should be made slaves. I believe slavery is wrong. Which is why I don't eat shrimp any more. Because of the slave labor in Thailand.

Applying biblical justice on the descendants of you ancestors oppressor is not going to make anything better.

Oh and by the way what the OP said was extremely racist. Swap out the word white with black and post that. Wait and see the kinds of hate you will get.

I'm not black. I'm from Scandinavian descent mixed and mingled with English. While we're talking ancestry and anti-slavery tho, I don't think my ancestors ever got involved in the mess. They went from New York to the pioneer wagon trains to the mountains to potato farms.

Not personally. And any broad ones like industry stuff you can name apply to everyone in the nation. Either way there's no way to prove it either so someone's going to abuse it. How the frack are you going to know who to enslave by that logic??? Just by listening to their word?!

Let's frame it another way. Pretend your father blew up a tour bus. Horrible crime, but he never got arrested until after he was dead. So clearly justice requires that you and your siblings go to jail for life. Would you put up with that carp?! I didn't think so! Either way I know for certain that my family was on the abolition side of the Civil War, and if push come to shove I'd fight for abolition whether either side was black, white, red, green, blue, or silicon.

There's other ways to make it up like government benefits. We will never be capable of paying for what we've done, but we can step towards equality. At the very least we can start respecting them and treating them as the human beings they are. But I refuse to be punished for our ancestors' crimes though. Save your bondage fetish for the bedroom.

Well. I never said the nation was "great." I just said there's no need to punish every white person in the world for something they didn't personally do. Sorry you feel as though an entire race has to pay for the past, but I need to live my life without hating those around me. That's just my opinion. I was bullied all my childhood for being black in an all-white school, but you know what? I can't hate white people as a whole for the opinions of a particular selection of them. It's not fair. To say that their whole race needs to be enslaved is just a radical opinion that doesn't make anything right.
