I would never get a Pit Bull or even a Rottweiler. If I had children, I would never get those types of dog. Dogs can be unpredictable, regardless of breed. Why get a breed with such a disturbing reputation. They even have a jaw that can lock into place once they clamp down on their victim. That jaw is impossible to open, unless they open it themselves. There was a case where this Pit Bull somehow got out of its cage and it attacked a small child. A man attempted to save the child by getting the dog off of him. However, the dog had locked its jaw. The man had to get a gun and shoot the dog to get it off of the kid. I know that Pit Bulls and Rottweilers are on the list of dogs that men like to get to make them look tougher. Pathetic.
Most people who own large scary dogs either want to look like thugs , or are well- meaning idealists who want to prove they are the dog whisperer.
I don't like any large breed dogs for indoor pets they belong doing a job they were bred to do. If you want a pet get a lap dog.
IIN I think owning a pitbull is reckless

Lap dogs can be scary too. My mother's got one and he is so temperamental if he eats the wrong things.

Not all of them are bad but I kind of feel it's playing Russian roulette.
