Social media in general has been getting a lot worse in my opinion. I can barely stand instagram now, despite it once being my favorite platform, especially with how much they try to emulate tiktok now.
Plus it seems to be the same overused memes reposted over and over on the app all the time and the attitude most people seem to have on there is so toxic, because they're all obsessed with getting likes and followers and superficial praise.
True it's all about likes and followers nowadays.
While its more rewarding to get more likes on a nice photo you uploaded I never understood the hype about followers.
Its become a popularity contest about who has the most followers, and still many followers tend to be inactive.
