Is it normal i think hotels are dirty?

I just comprehend how one person is supposed to clean a suite in the amount of time they’re given. For the most part they seem clean, but I’m just paranoid.

If anyone has ever worked in the hotel maid business, how have you cleaned s room in such a short amount of time, and what items typically get ignored?

Having done considerable business travel, I would say don't drink from the cups and clean the TV remote, and door knobs with hand sanitizer before your use them. Here's a link:

They are dirty! But, germs are everywhere. It's the truly heinous pathogens you want to avoid.

Hygiene is something of a concern. I carry Clorox wipes into hotels, and sleep on my own sheets. Other than that, I keep it out of my mind.

Your immune system needs to some exposure to germs. That's how your immune system strengthens itself. Your antibodies need some exposure to external pathogens in order to learn and build defenses to identify harmful invaders and destroy them before you ever show symptoms. If you lived in a truly germ free environment, your immune system would become very weak. You're full of advantageous bacteria actually. You need it to keep healthy.

Anyways, yeah hotels are filthy, but so are airplanes, hospitals, and any place where a lot of people congregate.

Stay out of daycare centers and schools filled with children. That's the worst of them! Those are prime spots for a flu breakout.

As a frequent traveler, I've been all over the place, and caught nothing yet. I've got too many friends that are haphazardly daring about their careless disregard about germs, lol. They seem to be in excellent health.

Don't get paranoid. Mind some basic hygiene protocol, and let it be.

    • I’ve done more research.

Besides the door knob and tv remote, vacuuming often gets skipped and the tub may only be raised out with hot water.

Most of the ones I've been to have been pretty good. Some of the Microtel's got skanky after a few visits, so we took our business elsewhere.

It's horrible thinking about what kind of creatures were there before you. Did the slop monkeys leave you with Scabies, bed bugs maybe, who knows what they brought in.....
