When I was studying journalism years ago I interviewed a well known doctor who advocated for abortion and he told me that the majority of women coming to his clinic were catholics who didn't believe in contraception until they were pregnant and didn't want to be.
I don't believe abortion is desirable, but it is necessary in any circumstances when a woman is pregnant and doesn't want to be.
That was me. Then I came to the realization that abortion can be justified, even though its still evil. Basically, there are situations where it is the lesser of 2 evils. Like raising a kid you didn't want is not a good situation either.
IIN I think all people are really pro-choice?

Not sure about that. But a lot of pro-life people like to make exceptions for themselves - "I'm pro-life unless *I* need an abortion."
