I just get so angry sometimes ): and I realize its not her fault. Nothing is, its just me taking out my aggression on the first person I see. That's not right at all.
What makes swearwords any more special than other words?
Ultimately they're just words. They add no more value or meaning to your speech.
"Come pick up this motherfucking Barbie right damn now!" and
"Come pick up this Barbie right now!" have the same meaning, the only difference being that the former portrays you as someone that has no class.
Once you realize that, and that realization sets in, you may find it easier to stop.
The other issue is the one that "KatieLiz" brought up:
Small children are sensitive to these things - even without the cussing, you should avoid shouting at her.
Lastly, I'll have to agree with what "moomus" said:
Anger Management.
You really need to learn not to get upset over trivial matters like this.
Children will be children and accidents will happen.
Reserve the shouting for when you encounter a deliberate act of hostility on her part.
When you put it like that it makes me want to absolutely STOP swearing. I don't want ny daughter to be fearful of me. She's all I have and I need to make the best of things for her and treat her like the princess she is.
Is this suppose to be impressive? I thought all parents cussed when angry? Isn't this a normal thing? Mine usually did when they were angry with us. I just thought it was normal. Like men walking around in boxers. I never cussed though since my parents taught me it was bad for children to cuss. As well as most children in my my class not cussing till the 6th grade since it was considered an evil act.
Try and relax, this ain't good (for either one of you). Try and restraing yourself from making sailors blush. Or visit an anger management class. Or simply go for a bit of cycling. It can do wonders. I am hot headed too and a lot of things can make me boil. Problems at work. Idiot drivers. Internet problems. Arguing with girlfriend over some random crap... You know the normal stuff. Whenever i'm pissed, or angry about something, I take my bike and go for a 5-15km trip in the countryside. Gives me some time to think, some excercise and a chance to look at stuff and relax.
After the trip, I take a bath and I'm as fresh and good as a summer's day!
Now I am 90% sure that someone has said the same thing but anyway...
1. You don't want your daughter to talk like (sorry for example) hood slut!
2. You don't want your daughter to fear you. Some kids might develop some sort of fear from their parents. Don't shout at your children. They are just kids. Surely they'll get the message after calmly explaining a time or two...
My mother used to shout at me, and sometimes I shouted back. Didn't really work as a way of communicating...
Shouting at family doesn't work (Unless calling family for dinner!). Save the insults and screaming for the real people that annoy you!
Honestly I might sound too paranoid idk sorry but maybe u could think of something else? Might not be the best idea to get into the habit of kicking things when you're mad.. Just saying..
IIN I swear at my child?
