You probably should try to discover their opinions on LGBTQ+ people, like just tell them "Hey a friend of mine came out as gay, what do you think about this?" and just see their reaction. If they dislike gays overall, it's best to keep it to yourself, I mean your preference shouldn't be their buisiness. I'm bisexual and I don't think I'm ever gonna come out to my parents, they say they're not homophobic but I just don't believe it. They believe that people just pretend to be gay/bi because they think it's a trend
