Is it normal i really relate to the linkin park song “figure.09?”

So long story short, I had a crush on a girl in high school, and it slowly grew into an obsession. I also became a fan of Linkin Park shortly after Chester’s death, which happened the same year I graduated high school. When I first heard their song “Figure.09” I thought it really encapsulated my feelings towards this girl (albeit in a pretty exaggerated way. The girl didn’t do anything wrong to me so I don’t think the parts where they’re shouting “GET AWAY FROM ME!” Are that accurate, but still).

Whether you like this kind of music or not, the lyrics I feel perfectly describe the feeling of being totally and utterly obsessed with someone!

Normal, especially in high school. When I was 17, I would sing this song while rolling down the freeway at 80 mph (130 klicks) on my motorcycle.

    Get your motor runnin'
    Head out on the highway
    Looking for adventure
    In whatever comes our way
    Yeah, darlin'
    Gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
    And explode into space

    I like smoke and lightnin'
    Heavy metal thunder
    Racing with the wind
And the feeling that I'm under
    Yeah, darlin'
    Gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
    And explode into space

That's normal. A lot of songs arnt just "made up" and has to do with the person's feelings or what not so it makes sense you feel like it relates to you or you can relate to the song. I can relate with a handful of songs

Normal. I recall back when I was a teenager, I found a lot of their songs relatable.
