Is it normal i really love having my hair messed with?

I absolutely love having my hair played with, combed and brushed (as long as whoever is doing it isn't rough and doesn't rip it out), and when people run their fingers through it. I also love getting my hair cut. One of my favorite things in the world is letting my best friend comb/brush my hair. I could sit there and enjoy it all day.

There are a few things I don't like though. I don't like having it washed by someone else or having it tightly braided or intricately styled, like with a curling iron or a bunch of product and a lot of tugging. I only like gentle touches, and I hate the feeling of hair spray or other products. I also don't like those head massager things with the prongs. That and the motion people use to wash hair are a sensory overload for me, it almost tickles.

    My girlfriend loves it when we cuddle up to watch a movie and I play with her hair. I don't like it when she plays with mine tho...

    I have very curly hair, so I only really have a choice between US marine haircut (makes me look like a mafia thug) and a greaser hairstyle. I go for the latter, so I have to keep my hair not too long and use hair gel to keep everything in place.

    If she starts playing with my hair, I end up looking like two chickens have been fighting on my head.

    I had a girlfriend in kindergarten and i loved playing with her hair, and she liked it too, but i got in trouble by the teachers everyday. Then she cut her hair and I dumped her 🤣😂🤣😂

      When I was in elementary school I usually had long, dark, slightly auburn, straight hair, and other children always wanted to play with my hair, but I always told them no, because I my mom would always style my hair before I went to school every morning. I just never wanted to mess up my hair. I guess it's kind of a bonding experience for a lot of people, but I could never understand it, because I preferred not to mess up my hair.

        I can understand that. I'm the opposite lol, I'm not big on much styling and prefer a low maintenance style that still feels nice and I can run my fingers through (I even love running my own fingers through it). Most of the time my hair is down and maybe smoothed a bit with a flat iron at most, so it's usually hard to mess up.
