Iin: i plan something with my friends, they don't follow through 99%

As the title says, 99% of the time I plan something with my friends (they agree to it), then they don't show up. It really hurts my feelings as I will make myself free for them, yet they don't show any effort to follow through with the plans or even let me know they can't make it, they just ignore me. It is starting to really make me feel down and that I shouldn't have friends anymore. Are all friends like this? Please help.

They're not friends, they're just nuisances in your life. Dump them and move on to find some real friends.

Welcome to the real world. You sound very young. Get over it. March on.

    • I am in my early 20's, so I wouldn't exactly class myself as young. It is just frustrating when you try to plan an event or gathering with friends, who agree to it, then just don't show up with any warning or anything.

        I feel u -sigh-
my friends are very independent? I guess.
They say that "I'm too clingy" whenever I ask them to ACTUALLY COME OVER TO WHERE WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE :(

I guess we are just too mature for our friends, who appear to be too fickle and cannot stick to a plan!

It seems like as if your friends are malfunction. There could be various reasons for that like emotionally instability or marriage. You can exchange your friends at the nearby local bar.

Talk to them about it and just tell them how you feel, but if they don't make any efforts to change find different friends. There's a lot of people out there, not just the few flakes you know
