Is it normal i never get many fb likes for a profile pic

Where as I know some people who dont have many friends like are not very social at all and their pics are mundane, yet they will receive twice the amount I gain!!!
I find it really weird and I'd like to know why this is?
So basically unpopular people gain more likes than I yet I known for a fact I have more friends than them irl so what's up with this ?

Example

My friends younger brother, shitty quality camera, smokes weed, takes not the greatest selfies and he received 40 likes !! My camera with certain profiles pics, are better quality and good lighting. Most I have gotten for a profile picture is 24 likes max!

        Well technically if you are talking about fb likes then you are essentially talking about a website.

        The plus side of this is that you are just being yourself and they are being themselves.
