How is it then that my parents got married and fathered me, when they must not actually have been attracted to each other? Can there be a platonic love that nevertheless leads to the procreation of offspring? I mean, that's not really the idea of platonic love, but I'm not adopted. I have to come from somewhere.
Plenty of gay people get married to an opposite sex partner and have children whilst in the closet, it’s physically possible to have sex with someone you’re not attracted to.
