Okay, sounds like a joke, right? Wrong.

NY is super expensive. I mean, seriously. I've been looking for a house to move into and the cheapest homes are $250,000 but the best looking one for that price I could find had a tiny kitchen, 1 tiny bathroom, 2 bedrooms, no basement, no property!

What is this? My friend lives in NY with her husband and her house is well over $800,000 - nearly a million and shes not a millionaire, but they pay thousands upon thousands each month just to keep it.

Her house doesn't even look like its rich either! She has 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, no basement, oh but she has an upstairs! The house itself is just small..maybe a quarter larger than mine..Whats with NY being so expensive. I want to live in another state but I love NY...ughhhhhhhhh I'm so jealous because my friend who lives in effin Montana has a house TWICE THE SIZE of my friends 800,000 one and its only $270,000!!!!

That is so wrong on so many levels. Its so huge that I thought she was a freaking millionaire when I first met her, but she makes a lot less than me.

Why is this fair? I work so much , but get so little, why???

    I wish I lived in NY, I live in a shitty city and good houses are cheap, but the city is boring, ugly, and horrible. I'd rather live in a tiny house in a good city, because there would be so much more to do so I'd never be home bored.

    I don't get it. If you hate it so much, why don't you just pack your shit and move? Simple.
    By the way, I hate NYC also, and the state in general isn't my favorite, by far.

    I agree. For one thing my neighbors on both sides of me are single New York gals. Both are not very nice and the one below is homely and has no idea how to take care of a yard. She plays this F'n clarinet late every night!?. She won't stop even after I asked her to not do that. I wish everyone from New York would stay there and not come and polute other states with their bad attitudes, greed, and left wing politics.

    Its normal to feel that way. Ultimately you just have to decide which is worth more to you, making the sacrifices to live where you love, or finding another place you can love more because of what you don't have to sacrifice (and maybe you'll find you just plain love it more in general).     Move to a little country town! I hate big cities. Everyone has a fire cracker up their ass, always in a hurry! Much cheaper too.

    Apply for public housing in NY. File a police report on your boyfriend/girlfriend for domestic violence, that will help you get at the top of the list (priority).
