Is it normal i'm devoloping a crush on and internet friend who's younger than me?

I should start out by saying that I've seen pictures and videos of this person so I know they're not pretending to be someone they're not, but they happen to be 2 years younger than me. I haven't told them I might feel this way, but they do know that they mean a lot to me and have helped me a lot.

That does not seem like such a wide age difference. I would wait until she turns sixteen to pursue any sort of relationship though.

    • Why exactly?

Even if you're pretty young, 2 years isn't much of an age difference. And yeah, it's easy to have feelings for someone online. Not sure how often that easily translates into real life, but it's normal.

    • I probably should've mentioned that their birthday is late in the year, so it feels like 3 years, plus I'm 18 and they're 15, 16 later in the year.

Okay, so it's a little bit more than it sounded like. Still not that bad though. Like, it's not a ridiculous age difference.
Like the other person said, I'd maybe wait until they turn 16. Why? Well, there's the obvious legal age thing. I know you're not saying you're going to have a sexual relationship necessarily, but it would make it a bit more legit, if you know what I mean.
When you're older, a 2-3 year age difference is nothing. But at 18, it's something to be a bit more conscious of. But it's still not a problem or anything, I don't think.
        So, yeah...normal.
