Is it normal i look forward to john lennon’s killer’s death?

Let me get this out of the way first: yes, I know John Lennon had issues. He made mistakes and wasn’t always as peaceful as he presented himself. But, at the very least, he seemed to have SOME self awareness, and I really do think had he lived longer he could have righted a lot of his wrongs.

However, because some POS loser who just wanted attention decided to take matters into his own hands, we’ll never see that happen. The sad thing is that, not only did he get to live longer than Lennon, but pretty soon he’ll have been in prison longer than John had been alive!

A lot of people say that John would have forgiven his killer, and wouldn’t want his fans to act violently towards him, but I just wish he’d just die already. Maybe I’m being too much of a Beatles and Lennon fanboy, but I just can’t wait until I hear the news that this awful shitstain who’s name doesn’t deserve to be mentioned is finally gone!

If you hate him so much, don't you like to think of him suffering? Being dead isn't suffering. Unless you believe in hell, I suppose.

I can't say I relate, but I do think it is normal. I'm not the type to think someone deserves death. Not because of compassion or anything, just that I don't really get the concept of either deserving or not deserving something since things just seem to happen as they fall. I do care about results, though, and how that impacts people, but as far as wishing a negative consequence for someone, I generally don't do that unless the negative consequence results in positive things for myself or others. Having someone die doesn't really do anything unless it prevents them from doing something, which he's already in prison. I do think that the inverse thoughts are normal though. People often hold people, even ones they do not know personally, in high esteem. It is normal to feel angry if a person you hold a high opinion of is hurt. It is normal to wish death on someone if you are angry enough. The sense of deserving and justice is normal even if not objective. Now, if you ever start planning on breaking into prison to actually kill him yourself, that's a different story.

It's normal to hate someone who offed someone you loved or respected but if the person (killer) is dead then you are the only one suffering.
