Is it normal i like bts of aiw more than the movie?

(Sorry for the confusing title, the original is too long, but I’m referring to the behind the scenes of Disney’s Alice in Wonderland)

So I read the book a few years ago and I LOVED it! I didn’t grow up with the movie, I might’ve seen it once or twice but when I saw it after reading the book, I gotta admit, I was kinda underwhelmed.

Not to say anything bad about the animators, obviously they put their all into it, but in all honesty I wish they could’ve done it like Who Framed Roger Rabbit and have Kathryn Beaumont act live action against all the cartoons, but sadly I don’t think they had that technology back then (although Song of the South was able to for a few scenes, but I’m not sure if I’m allowed to acknowledge that movie’s existence).

But I really love watching Kathryn Beaumont’s behind the scenes clips, so much so I even made a video compilation of them! (https://youtu.be/tOBmyrsEAmM). It’s hard to explain, but I think “charming” is the best word I can use to describe her, I just get such joy from watching her stuff!

I recently saw a video comparing "Roller Coaster Tycoon" with "Roller Coaster Tycoon 2". The guy who made the video said in the video that he has long been obsessed with theme parks, but does not enjoy actually going to amusement parks nearly as much as he enjoys analyzing them.

My point is that there are plenty of people out there who find the "behind the scenes" more interesting than the actual thing.

It is normal to see the book in your head in a way but also to appreciate the animators versions too.
