I'm a mum of 6 kids and i have breastfed and still breastfeed my kids but i have orgasams during the breastfeeding,
is this normal?
should this be happening during breastfeeding?
There is nothing to be embarrassed about.
It's a normal physiological response to lactation hormones. Breastfeeding feels good! If it didn't, very few mothers would do it.
As your baby nurses, prolactin — known as the "mothering hormone" — stimulates the body to manufacture milk. This hormone gives you a feeling of relaxation and well-being. Oxytocin, another hormone secreted during breastfeeding, causes the alveoli to contract, releasing milk into the ducts, the milk sinuses, and your baby's mouth. This hormone is responsible for the tingling sensation some mothers feel before a milk ejection reflex, or letdown, and the postpartum uterine cramping felt while breastfeeding.
Oxytocin also causes labor contractions during childbirth and pleasure contractions during orgasm. Varying amounts of oxytocin are attributed to these different contractions. The arousal you describe while nursing may also be the result of the empowerment and satisfaction you feel knowing that you are meeting all of your child's nutritional and emotional needs at the breast.
So...do not feel wierd about it....enjoy it too the fullest!!
thanks for that, it is very interesting what you say, i know about it helping me in birth as the lase few births i have had i had nipple stimulation which helped me loads and made it a very plesurable births.
Its good to know that its quiet normal to feel this way and i shall enjoy it as i have orgasams its just gets to be not what i expected with my kids tho!!!

I had nipple stimulation during my last childbirth and found it to be the most pleaurable one ever, I'm pleased that its the same with brastfeeding but after breastfeeding 4 of my kids i do tend to pant which when my toddleres are breastfeeding isnt easy to hide.
I knew all about it when i had my last child as i had nipple stimulation most the way through it nd foud it to be my best birthing expreence ever. I'm glad it the same with breastfeeding as it feels just the same vut can at times get a little to much and i do pant which isnt easy to hie when my toddlers are breastfeeding!!
