Is it normal i have full conversations with people who aren't there?

I don't mean ghosts. These are people in my life who if I were to have said "conversation" I imagine how it would play out. It's almost therapeutic.

I voted normal but I'm not really sure if it is in my own case. I have a lover I don't see nearly often enough and often have long conversations out loud with him when I'm driving in my car, sometimes about important things and sometimes just chatting.

I really don't know if this is healthy of not, but the dog likes it because she thinks I'm talking to her.

I have lived alone many years and have had some of the most intresting conversations with myself.

I do it too but I think it’s not that common with most of the people.

Even if you practice the words don't you forget them when the real thing is happening?

    • It doesn't always come out the same way, but it does help to rehearse. Sometimes the conversation never happens

Ohhhhh. You mean practicing for the conversions (I thought you were talking about hallucinations) I do that all the time, i'm not good at thinking of things to say on the fly/in the heat of the moment.
