Is it normal i have an irrational fear of flushing the toilet?

Ever since I was a little girl I always had this irrational fear that after flushing the toilet, it would summon some kind of monster or demon into the bathroom to kill me. Now that I'm older I know this almost certainly isn't the case, but anytime I am in the public bathroom alone or using my own bathroom a part of me is terrified to flush that toilet in fear that something or someone will come get me. :/ Is this normal? Can anyone relate?

    I used to get big greennfrogs in my toilet...and I couldn't wait to flush it to wash them away. Lol

    I had this fear too. It's really weird and is here still to this day. Try to overcome that fear, that is the best solution.

    Its just your childhood fears thats making this type of situations very frightening for you. Try to overcome them by not thinking about this things much.
