I think it is pretty normal. In some parts of world it is mandatory to have the husband of older than at least 8 to 10 years. And being in 30's it is not that much older in any sense. There are many examples of happy and joyful couples despite having great age gap. I am not saying that you should marry him or initiate the relationship but do not give priority to his age while taking any firm decision. As his wife is cheater; consider him single.
