That might be true but if they are under the assumption he is only dating him, and he realizes or even considers this he should clear that up. This is why most relationships dont last.
I mean if everyone is fime with the arrangement thats fine. Just its better be upfront about this sort of thing vs being intentionally dishonest. Also assuming everyone is doing what you are is a false assumption.
