Hey you homos came up with all these terms to begin with and now you rail against people who are confused as to what they should call themselves?? I know your label; fucking, retarded, whining, douchebag.
I am neither gay, nor did I come up with any terms, nor am I railing against people who are confuses as to what to call themselves.
Pay attention. In this conversation we are talking about the word 'gay'. This has existed for a very long time. Maybe this is too difficult for you to understand. My point is that the behavior your comes first and then the label, but you are looking at it in the opposite way.
It is entirely optional if a person choose to use a label or not. There are no official rules as to what constitutes being in what category.
My message is one people should feel empowered to embrace their behavior whatever it is and then call it whatever they want.
I feel as though you may have not fully read my post. I like your comments typically Kevin, but this one was very stupid.
At the end of the day you don't know anything. There are people who are into some things as a fantasy and it would in no way mean that they would do it in real life. And even if they did in real life, if it's just sex and there's no emotional connection then it is just that, SEX! it doesn't matter and you shouldn't feel compelled to come out to the world that you're GAY because you had a same sex encounter. At the end of the day, people will do what they want to do. If a man calls himself straight and says he likes to suck cock, to me he's straight, cause thats how he feels like. Stop caring so much about labels, they dont mean anything as human sexuality is by far the most complicated thing in the universe.
If you took from this that I am "pressing people to come out" you have not read my post. And saying "or whatever" only gives me more confidence you didn't pay attention.
My post is in regards to heterosexual users that worry their behavior may be construed as 'gay' under the pretense there is something wrong with being gay. Please never begin correspondence with a person with the words "At the end of the day, you don't know anything" again.
Lol, I will begin correspondence with any words I please. Also, no, you clearly are establishing a norm for people to label themselves while we're still figuring it all out and new labels emerge every day. I just don't understand why you would waste so much energy enticing people to come out as gay. We don't even know what being gay means EXACTLY. I experimented girl on girl sex during my teenage years and I liked it - obviously a girl giving me pleasure, how could I not? - yet I still identify as straight because I never remotely felt attraction for another woman nor wanted to construct a serious relationship with one. Sexuality is complex. You can play with people and yet not wanting anything serious with them. Being gay is being FULLY gay, that is to say having and emotional, sexual and physical connection with a person of the same-sex. Attraction alone is not enough, you might just be attracted to yourself or your own physique, or be narcissistic. I have a PhD in Gender Studies and all of those assumptions everyone is making are an attempt to the credibility of the gay community. Fooling around is not being gay. Gay is much more than sex!
No, the question they are asking is, do I deserve to be labeled gay for x. Since we agree that's what it is, no one disputes it's a label. I have yet to seeing a question claiming gay is anything other than a label.
IIN I hate the question, does this make me gay?
