I feel that way when it comes to spam e-mails, useless repetitive notifications, etc. I actually have most of my notifications turned off because they can be a distraction, and I get tired of the ones I don't care about.
I also can't stand the scam calls I get on a near daily basis. I hate being called while I'm in the middle of something, and it infuriates me when it's one of those idiots. The worst part about it is that I can't even chew them out because A) it always ends up redirecting to a "no longer in service" number, and B) if I answer the call, I get 10x the amount because they put me on a list of callers that pick up and sell it to the other scammers. All I can do is keep blocking numbers, though it's pretty useless since most of the time they just use a new number.
If you don't want notifications, you can always turn them off or disable your social media (even if just temporarily), too.
I've had notifications turned off everywhere for nearly 7 years. For everything. But now I've joined a professional group where my full name shows up on their (our) website, along with my picture. I still don't want to get notifications for anyone else's activity on Insta or FB but they keep popping up. I stopped being "tech-savvy" - on purpose because I hate being on display - years ago.
Now I have to deal with it because it's part of the position. Great, but I still get notified of things I do not care for.
Iin I hate notifications from social media?
