If it's being used that way in a merely colloquial or joking sense, than no, it doesn't bother me. I don't often require that people familiarize themselves with the various academic usages of a term which has simpler colloquial connotations (except for when people say that evolution is "only theory," that bothers me). Of course, what most people mean when they speak of having a liking for some specific physical characteristic (such as 'foot fetishism') what they are really referring to is 'partialism,' and the term 'fetish' has various anthropological, philosophical, and religious uses as well (e.g. Marx's "commodity fetishism," Freud's phallocentric interpretation of religious fetishism, etc.).
IIN I hate it when so many idiots misuse the word "Fetish"?
