Well, Black is not necessarily African-American. I know a couple people who are very black and they and their families are not from Africa. One of them is from Trinidad. Another is from Jamaica. So the fact that everyone assumes Black people are African-American is actually racist because you are assuming their heritage purely based on the color of their skin. The term Black however is not racist, you are not judging them just by saying black, skin color is a very good way to describe and identify people, not to judge them.
