Hey, I'm a pretty young demisexual person.. I have trouble with this too. I'm personally a bisexual demisexual.. Demisexual is something that you might end up identifying with, so I suggest you look that up.
For example, my best friends will never stop assuming that I like all guys, I find them all attractive, and the same applies to girls. I live in a small town, and it's hard to find people that are accepting about any of these issues.
Thanks for your lovely response!! I have looked up demi sexual a while back :) Just searched it up before to refresh my memory & I think you are right. I have fallen for a close friend many years back. My thought patterns usually go like this :
Could have I seen my self kissing her ? Yes, because I was in love with her. I loved everything about her and she was beautiful to me. Could I see my self going any further besides kissing? Maybe...It was a rather terrifying thought but I felt so affectionate towards her that I probably could have, if she had felt the same. At the end of the day, we had a very close friendship at one point. It was quite an affectionate one & I could easily have seen my self romancing and being with her.
I find some guys hot but I am not emotionally attracted to them..I conclude im mostly homo demi sexual..
For some people, being demisexual doesn't mean that you feel that way for both genders. I personally am, so I don't really know how that feels, but for me I like both genders and seem to like them truly only if I've talked to them, known them...
At one point this summer I went camping with my friend, and I already knew she was straight as hell, but I still was attracted to her. It was a difficult thing to get over, but eventually (with much work and struggle), I did.
Early this year, I ended up liking this pansexual girl that was dating a guy... but it's a step in the right direction, I guess..
Well, back to my original point, you don't have to be demisexual toward both genders. To even identify as demi, you have to be demisexual toward one gender, not both. You may feel that you are demi toward only women, but you feel differently about men. This is completely normal, and you shouldn't feel bad about this whatsoever. Just be you, and don't forget who you are, either.
Feel free to contact me on my account, I'd love to talk to you more about this.
I'm sorry to hear it didn't eventuate into anything with your crushes. I can empathize & know its very very difficult to move on! Only way I did it was cutting the girl I was once friends with out of my love. To this day, I think of her from time to time but hardly much anymore. At the end of the day, we can't help who we fall for, whether they're straight, gay, bi e.ct...We just hope that one its mutual & we get to be in a loving relationship with a person which we couldn't imagine living without.
I'd love to converse more but I don't have any gold so I can't private message you...
IIN I go along with pretending I'm straight ?
