Is it normal i get second hand embarrassment really bad?

I hang with a lot of thuggish people, and a few of them have a real kink for embarrassing and calling guys out on their bullshit/lies.

It’s a lot of picking on dudes with poor confidence who try to overcompensate in silly ways. Usually when I catch someone in a lie I just go along with it anyway to spare their ego. Embarrassment fucking SUCKS and I never want anyone to have to put up with that.

So anytime I see my friends acting like goons and cornering some poor dude who just wants to seem tough, it kills me. IIN?

Is It Normal?

  • I usually get second hand embarrassment watching the parts of movies where the good guy looks like the bad guy

  • Any BS merchant is a liar, just stop lying and then no one will have any problems.

  • Would it count if one got embarrassed just knowing something exists, like Meghan Trainer "all about the bass"?

I get what you are saying though, like sympathy pain.

  • That's nice of you, dude. I agree, bullshitters are normally insecure. It's kind of sad really. Unless they're especially annoying, or constant with their bullshit then I just say let them be.

  • I get embarrassed watching Will Ferrell, but I don't know if I could call it secondhand embarrassment, because he's obviously not embarrassed, but the cringe is strong.
