Is it normal i get miserable seeing my now long distance gf?

I went abroad for university and it has been 7 months since I saw my gf. When we video chat or she sends me sexy photos sometimes I get so miserable because I cant be with her. Two times on the video chat I even said brb for a breather because it was just too much. When we talk on the phone its still hard but it gets much harder whenever I see her. Am I being a debbie downer and should I man up instead or is it normal?
