Is it normal i get angry when i feel my friend is ignoring me?

If I message my friend and they take a long time to respond, I can't help but think they're ignoring me and it makes me mad. I know they might busy or something and don't have to respond right away, but still. Sometimes it happens when we are in the middle of the conversation and I feel it's their way of telling me to eff off.

I get bored when I try to stay on a site just for a conversation and people will not respond. I hardly ever use my phone. I think it is normal for you to want people to respond back to show that they care.

I know exactly how you feel. As an attention lover, I hate it when my friends don’t respond. I will literally go into a complete downward spiral if I get left on read once. It’s really something I’m trying to work on, and maybe you should too? It normally helps to find a cause. Like did you experience a lot of rejection during childhood? Or did your parents/carers ignore you a lot? There doesn’t have to be a specific reason, but sometimes these feelings stick with us after childhood you know? Anyways, I hope you feel better soon :)

This is why I rather approach people in real life and rarely through messaging. Save some possible unneccessary negativity on my part and theirs when me or them took too long to reply back to each other.

Maybe your friend had to walk the dog, or clean the cat box?

Maybe your friend gets easily distracted by other things? I know I do for sure! If I'm texting someone, then have to deal with something like cleaning; I'll tend to forget. Other times I'll just be too damn busy with other priorities that at the end of the day, I'm too tired to have a conversation.

That's life dude! My homie and I only chat like once a month and that's cool. The adult life is very spontaneous and unpredictably busy. People have done that to me and while yes it's slightly annoying; that's just life. If you're that type of friend who loves attention, you should try to find friends like you.

You'll see what I mean when you're tremendously busy.
