Is it normal i find it boring my city’s crime rate is dropping

So I grew up in the most dangerous city in my state, and for the past 5 years crime has been dropping at a steady rate. I think crime makes a city more exciting so I’m disappointed :-(

In the summer of 2008 we had 197 people shot, 27 fatality, and at least 400 reports of shots fired no injuries - this is for a city of 56,000. Last year we only had 42 injuries and no deaths, boo!

      This. Very immature to be disappointed by a statistic that you're a part of. You could really make a difference if you try, OP. If you shoot yourself 800 times, you could double that stat in one day!

      It’s not that I like the carnage, it’s just that I think the stats are interesting and I LOVED seeing the county coroner flying by in his pickup truck with lights and sirens on.

    Look at NYC. Was so much better before the 90s when there was more crime. Was edgy and grungy. Much more interesting. Now its a boring shadow of its former self. Gentrified, homogenised, bland.

        Well I mean there's nothing wrong with liking being in high crime areas. Whether you like it or not won't save anyone's life or get anyone killed, all these people trying to make you look like an evil SOB are retarded.

      If you take the shooting stats from 2008-2013, almost 1/56 citizens were shot. Well 730/56,000.
