Is it normal i dream about my former substitute teacher?

Is it normal that at least twice in the past month I've dreamed that my former substitute teacher is dead? It started when a memory from 9th grade involving him just came to me out of the blue. Nothing big, all it was was he heard me say something embarrassing and turned around and raised his eyebrows at me, and gave me the same look every time I saw him after that. This memory made me laugh. I haven't seen him since then but my dreams are vivid and creepy. I know it's crazy but I think he really might be on the other side because I've dreamed it. This has piqued my curiosity, in a weird/sad way, if that makes sense. Is it normal that I have these dreams?
