Is it normal i don't like her, just because she is a homophobe?

There is a girl in my small group who is a homophobe. I don't like her. Not because she did anything bad to me, but bcuz she is a homophobe.

I dont hate her, I just dont want to hang out with her or hug her or anything like that. Homophobes are annoying.

Every Christian cherry picks what they follow and dont follow from the bible considering it contradicts its self constantly its impossible to follow it completely.

So you've never masturbated, watched porn, had sex before you got married, or had sex without contraception? If so, I guess you're not a real Christian.

The bible also says you can't wear clothes with mixed fabrics or tear your clothes. It also says you can't eat pork or seafood, or fat, or eat more than you need to survive. It also says you can't trim your beard. Do you follow all of these? If not, then I guess you're not a real Christian.

The list of things the bible says that people don't follow anymore is practically endless...and most of them are much more explicitly banned than the vague parts that really have nothing to do with homosexuality(ie Sodom & Gomorrah, which were destroyed because they tried to gang rape two messengers of god and homosexuality wasn't even a footnote).

I am bisexual but I haven't been romantic for a guy in 6 years. However, as a bisexual male, there isn't a reference to homosexuality in the Bible at all. In fact, bisexuality and depraved sexual and social behavior as well as vile torture and brutality. Bisexuals as an elite political class in Rome were more cruel and violent to effeminate men and boys than any homophobic straight man. When Peter was in Rome, he noted that they were married people and the collapse of Rome was attributed to bisexual behavior as well as the eating and cruel torture.

Bisexuality was something associated with a period where the social norms were better but in the ancient world, where it was the norm. Movie tropes for bisexuals include characters who are cold and evil and break everyone's hearts. They are sociopathic, cold, manipulative etc. That comes from the ancient period when Christianity took Rome. Bisexuals didn't disrupt the heteronormativity model that straight and bisexual people are better for. Gay people were useful if they had a skill.

It says to be nice and kind to everyone but hate people who sin because they sinners but were all guilty of sinning. So what do I do hate or love everyone as it says to do. "We are told that god has a plan for everything, but then we are told to pray – for our loved ones to get better when they fall ill, for safety in the storm, for the home team to win the big game. Does that mean god will change his plan if you pray hard enough, or the right way, or get enough other people to pray for the same thing? This seems to suggest that God doesn’t have much of a plan at all, since he’s apparently willing to simply do whatever gets the most prayers or favors those who ingratiate themselves the most or who have prayed the best – not to mention that it’s a rather arbitrary, even capricious, approach to human suffering" - Godless Mama

  • I do like women romantically, but it's not sexual. Two women having a sexless romantic relationship is not a sin.

I don't know of any Bible verses that discuss sexless gay relationships. But if there are any, and you want to show them to me, go for it. If you can show me a Bible verse that condemns gay romance (NOT the same thing as gay sex), then I will never have a romantic relationship with any girl EVER, and I will also apologize to my parents for bringing dishonor to the family by being romantically interested in other girls. This should be interesting.

I am pretty sure that being romantically interested in both sexes makes me bisexual, but maybe I am mistaken. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

“But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” Mark 10:6-9

    • Gross! That would make things really awkward at Bible study! Also, I am a girl.

I don't want to touch her in any way at all. I am bisexual, and she is a homophobe.
