Is it normal i don't drink alcohol?

I was drinking wine every once in a while like 3 or 4 times in a year before I entered University and then I started drinking beer bottle once in 2 weeks and then decreased the gap to every Saturday-Sunday then I suddenly stopped drinking beer after I drank two days in a row and felt like I can't be relax and de-charge my stress without a beer. Because I didn't want to rely on alcohol to solve my stress, I thought I'm supposed to solve it in my mind. My dad was an addictive to , like drinking every night and having fights, rarely it went to violence , too... anyway... Is it normal , now I don't drink at all because I am afraid of that I'll get addicted to it ? I drink tea to relax myself and I enjoy it.

It's smart thinking and a good choice. If I let an addiction get out of hand I'd end up a miserable loser with nothing and no one

Great choice! It's good that you know you don't need it.

I dont drink and thats just a personal choice but its normal not too for whatever reason. It can quickly turn into a bad habit and its good you stopped yourself before it did.

  • Your liver say thanks. Also it's good to keep the brain healthy.
I stopped drinking over six months ago. It is hard sometimes but being sober helps me face stuff.

Some people shouldn't drink, and not doing it knowing there's been addiction issues in your family is a smart move. I do drink myself, in case you were wondering.

I don't drink and I feel that your decision is a good one. Good job at taking precautions so you don't get into trouble later in life.

Yes this is normal. Lots of people avoid alcohol and in some cases it can be a smart decision.

That's like asking is it normal to take a crap in the toilet after you had a huge meal. Of course it's normal not to want to drink. Not everyone is an alcoholic that has to get drunk or stoned

I don't either. Alcohol ruined my life as a child.

  • If addiction runs in the family you're smart to avoid it, my mothers side of the family can't handle cocaine, every single member who's ever tried it spiraled into a quick addiction and eventually died from overdose. While my fathers side has no problem regulating any substance or activity that most might find addicting. It's all chemical (I think, at least)
Some people can be healthy moderates users, some get addicted after just a few tries at anything, usually runs in the family.
