Is it normal i do not understand why stealing from big companies is wrong?

And who will suffer from this? The poor employees that work for a minimum wage. So, in the end you do steel from the people you moron.

It puts the prices up for the rest of the law abiding population.

I used to steal lots of groceries when I was broke. And what happened? Absolutely nothing. Nobody gave a shit. Nobody's paycheck went down and prices did not go up.
With massive stores, it's obviously a drop in the ocean.
They can't lose.

But wait, what if everybody thought like that?
What if everybody shoplifted? Well then you'd be a damn fool not to.

I either steal everything or steal nothing. I have my own distorted view on when it's ok. But actually, the best way to get at Wal Mart is to NEVER shop there. They will feel that pain. I used to shop there due mostly to lack of options but was able to stop going there once options opened up and I calculated the loss of business to Wal Mart to far exceed any amount I could feasibly steal from there.

I do not see anything wrong with stealing from stores but stealing from someone house is wrong.

When you steal from the big companies, they just raise their prices to cover the losses (it doesn't cost THEM a thing!) and the customers end up paying for your theft. The customers are just regular people; the ones you say you will not steal from. So what grounds do you have to justify your thefts now?

First of all, stealing is wrong. It's not like I never grabbed something small from a large store, I'm certainly not that innocent, but those things just don't belong to you.

Of course those large companies would hardly notice such small things missing, but if they allow you they have to allow everyone and then they'd be out of business very shortly. And then where do you go? The small private owned stores are often more expensive, so there's a reason the big stores need to stay in business. They can have lower prices.

I loved this post. Sounded like teenage me talking. Though at one point I was stealing from everyone. Shoplift as much as you want just don't get caught.
It became a full time hobby for me though, would go into every shop possible and set goals for myself, make sure I didn't leave empty handed and even time myself sometimes for jokes.

Though, stealing is stealing. Whether it from a friend, house or a big corporation. So one shouldn't really delude themselves into thinking stealing from big firms isn't wrong. It's wrong but we just don't care :)

i worked a tj max and i asked my g-mon who worked at Dillard and they put like 100k+ in clothing like 5-20 feet from the front door and people would steal 100s of thousands of $ in cash in clothing because of that clothing store choises

Take a DVD from walmart, you individually aren't going to affect prices. Just as your individual vote isn't going to determine which candidate gets elected.

This post reminds me of the woman who admitted on a radio show that she was perfectly capable of working but both her and her husband planned to continue living off of welfare, foodstamps, and unemployment, just because they could.She doesn't feel guilty because she doesn't have to see any individual suffering as a result of her actions.

But it is undeniable that people who carelessly litter, people who carelessly live off of welfare, and people who carelessly steal from big corporations have a COLLECTIVE effect that is detrimental to society. I don't like to see dirty streets. It's not one person's fault. I don't like to pay higher taxes because of the multitudes of people abusing the system. I don't like to have to pay more, period, for the people who freeload off of society. If we all thought like that, then what kind of society would we have?

If you care, (and I hope you care) ask yourself what team you stand on, collectively. If you have any self-respect or love for the world you live in and for humanity, you'll not be a freeloader.

You are driving a STORE out of business every time you steal something from them.

It's not the corp that suffers. It's the individual store. With it's employees. That live in your town. It may be okay if a small % if all customers steal, until it becomes all customers. Then there is no point in business. there are no jobs. there are no wages. the entire community suffers when employees are dislocated. they can't consume as much food, heat, electricity or other products/services (from the piece of shit company you work for). Which drives the regional economy down, which makes your dollar worth less than it did before everyone was going around claiming things that aren't theirs.

basically, that's the short story. a corp may be a piece of shit...
