Uhh that's slavery. I've been homeless as a kid before and I sure as hell would be mad if I was forced to work without pay in hot-ass mexico building a fucking wall all day just to eat. Also homeless people are obviously not trained professionals in construction. A lot of people would get hurt. What should be done about them is to make more shelters and in the shelters should be programs to help you get a job, find housing, and clean yourself up. I went to one like that when I was homeless and it really helped so that me and my family had a house to live in and my parents had jobs. But, there are not many programs like that that exist. There was only one in the whole city (Vegas). Also, most homeless people have mental issues and no family, so those people should be helped and medicated and taken into custody.

Lots of homeless people already work for nothing, it's called volunteering.

I like your idea, but it's oversimplified. Like another person pointed out, many of these people have mental problems. Many are also using drugs.

This type of system would also have to have drug rehabilitation programs in addition to job training, education, medical attention, ect.

We don't wanna be running some damn concentration camps. Homeless people are also innocents, so they can't be treated like prisoners.

I disagree with the no pay thing. Giving them even very small amounts of money would help with their reform. Work and see reward.

All of the factors involved in the creation of such a program make me wonder whether it would be economically realistic as well.

That being said, I still like the basic idea of getting these useless people to be productive members of society.

This is basically slavery and taking advantage of the less fortunate. A lot of people are homeless becuase they cant find a job. So giving them a job you keep them trapped at is pretty cruel.

Poor roads.
Lots of barbed wire around businesses, from a crime issue.
Run down houses.
Plenty of bums milling around.

Many of the homeless aren't skill less.
They are jobless, and without discipline or direction.

There's homeless communes, bums blocking storefronts, bums at every stoplight, and rest area.
I just returned from business in 4 southern states.
I saw exactly 3 bums.
And they were polite.

Here is a idea make it difficult for the illegals to such a degree that they won't want to be in America or come here in the first place.

Also most homeless people are kinda off do you really want mental people that bad as a work force when there are other means to dealing with the problem.
