Is it normal i clearly remember random stuff from 10+ yrs ago?

Recently, out of the blue, I remembered this story my best friend told me in 8th grade about a teacher at our school. We didn't call him Mr. ***, we called him JR (his name). The story was he took a crap in the stall next to my friend and was farting a lot and it smelled like "rotten eggs, rotten meat and rotten everything you can think of", then he came out and said "woo!" This became an inside joke between us. Then a few weeks later my friend told me he had a dream that I moved in with JR and wore a shirt with his name on it and it said "woo!" on the back of it. I laughed sssoooo hard when I remembered this! At the time I liked JR's name because my crush had the same initials but reversed.
This was in 2005-2006. I have always had a scarily accurate memory. But maybe time is an illusion, right?

There is no such thing as an accurate memory. Memory is formed with a variety of biases and can't be anything more than a general depiction of events.

I'm lucky enough to be blessed with a photographic memory :)

I have really vivid memories of being a little kid. I've actually stunned my parents before with some things I've recalled like "how the fuck do you remember that?"

I don't know how I do it really.

Every time you remember something, you are actually remembering the last time you remembered it. Brains are weird.
