What you described sounds most like asexual but as like all things sexual there is a continuum. Take straight ppl for example some just want plain vanilla missionary position sex and others go off into BDSM or other fetishistic behaviors. So as a asexual you can enjoy or not enjoy romance novels or porn and still be asexual meaning not really interested in having sex with anyone. I'd say I'm asexual at least half the time and bi the rest of the time but even when I'm feeling sexual my interest in guys and girls isn't 50/50 it almost always leans more 1 way than the other.
THE NEW BUT NOT REALLY IMPROVED: ECCENTRICWEIRD! The CHILD MOLESTING MACHINE is back and slightly better! Now with 81% more CHILD TOUCHING PENIS. Coming to a child's butthole near you. MOLESTER FOR 9 YEARS (omgwtfbbq???) AND STILL NOT FINISHED (TM)!
I think it would depend on the type of relationship. But honestly I only use the labels as a convenience to other ppl that think everything needs a name I'm completely fluid in my sexuality and what I want 1 day may not be the same the next. I don't keep myself in a perfect little box I'm messy and all over the place and it works for me others might need the structure of a label but I don't.
I guess it makes it easy for others to understand but anyone I've ever known really well didn't fit into the strict binary gender roles or accepted types of sexuality.
Sounds as if you mix in similar circles to mine, where most people don't give a stuff about other people's sexuality - let's face it, other things are just as important
I think part of it is the 'show biz' thing where alot of the ppl are a little of what most ppl would call weird. I like weird its much better than ordinary.
IIN I cant figure out what to class myself sexually?

So you dont think people who are interested in a relationship can really say they are JUST asexual?
