Is it normal i can't get over having a crush on a random celebrity

I watched this random old movie the other day titled 'The Ron Clark Story' where this guy named Matthew Perry casted as a genuine, dedicated and charismatic teacher, Mr. Clark who struggled to make his critically delinquent students to be successful at school.

It's probably one of the best movies I've ever watched. The problem is throughout the movie, I had this accidental crush on this Matthew guy to the point of me fantasizing myself being one of his student and getting his teacherly love.

I find the personality of the character he played as to be very charming with addition to his big bonus on gorgeousness factor being my worst nightmare right now. I can't escape from his sexiness!

Now, it keeps distracting me occasionally and the thought of being his student and gaining his affection and attention keep popping up randomly while I am minding my own business. I also lose appetite right now, not kidding. I just can't get this demon outta my mind right now.

I really wish I can meet Matthew. Voice my thought. Perhaps creeps him out and be done with this ridiculous feeling.

So, if you guys ever have this problem before and overcame it by whatever means or just know how to solve this, I implore you to share some advice to help

Well for a start you can't meet someone who doesn't exist so there's no point in wishing for it.

I suggest you focus on the qualities which attracted you to this fictional character in the first place and look for them in real living people.

    • Umm...I am sure Matthew Perry exist. He's a celebrity after all. I think it's more accurate to say that it's almost impossible for me to meet him because he's a celebrity and a total stranger on TV.

But yeah...I understand what you're actually trying to convey with your point so thanks for the advice. I hope I'll be married to a person with the qualities I like from this celebrity and the character he played as.

Apologies, I should've read your original post a second time before I responded. If I'd done so I would've pointed out this actor was portraying a character who attracted you, which may be completely different to the actor's character. You can't assess anything about an actor from the character h/she plays in a movie.

        • Yeah, I get what you meant. The character he portrayed as was a passionate teacher with his unconditional love towards his students to achieve success.

However in real life, he's far from that kind of personality I am attracted to and he unfortunately became a victim of drug abuse. The only aspect I am attracted to him in real life is his attractive lo

    • It's a movie from 2006 so I think it's kinda old for an age of a movie considering how much farther in a year we live on right now.

I mean not that kind of black and white old of course.

    • Yup he was and he's the most well known for his role as the main guy in that sitcom. I haven't watched Friends at all and I only accidentally found out about him from that underrated movie I mentioned in my post. Gorgeous super talented actor.

    • I don't care about TLDR. It's called a post for a reason. Whether you give a shit enough to read all of it or stay the fuck out from this post because you're too lazy to read and your lack of care. I just want to read advice. And no...this reply is not going to be short on sentences either.
