Is it normal i can't breathe while "asleep"?

This has happened two times but they ended differently, and I can't find the right answer online. So I'm asleep I think but I am dreaming that I'm in my room sleeping. I'll be dreaming about something pleasant, then I stop breathing. I'm trying to breathe, but I can't. maybe for some reason I'm breathing with my mouth closed. I have to force myself to wake up from a deep sleep and it's pretty scary to do that because I'm usually exhausted and I almost gave up and just like let myself die lmao. The other time I woke up gasping for air. My dream was me trying to put a sliding puzzle together to match an outfit and I kept getting it wrong and tiny breath got taken away. This probably doesn't make any sense. Has anyone experienced this and do you know what it is? I know what sleep apnea is, but I feel like people with sleep apnea aren't aware of their breathing being stopped. I am fully aware that this is happening though, so I'm not sure that's what's going on.

Yes. It's quite obvious that you are suffering from the infamous Lloyd Bridges disease. Named after the father of actors Beau and Jeff Bridges. Mr Bridges starred in a late 1950's TV show titled "Sea Hunt" where he played a deep sea diver who unraveled various mysteries from week to week. Apparently there is some psychotic malfunction in your breathing equipment. You require immediate therapy. And for God's sakes stop dreaming of bodies of water! It could prove fatal!

  • Sleep paralysis? A mild case of that has happened to me, and I occasionally have sleep paralysis.

Go see an exorcist immediately, take a video of your head turning around 360 deg. while vomiting as the demon is expelled.

Or, go see a therapist and or Dr. if you can.

So, how many times are you going to post variations of the same story?

    • They're both different problems. One is not being able to breathe, the other is seeing people.

I was going to say sleep apnea, but you have that covered, so I'm not sure. Of course, it could just be a different version of sleep apnea.

    • Possibly it's just my anxiety trying to scare me. Or I'm being haunted. Either or is pretty groovy.
