Is it normal i can't be attracted to someone until i know their personality?
I can appreciate when someone is good-looking. I see guys who I know are gorgeous but I don't actually feel anything for them. Not a thing. It's as if I'm picking out an outfit or deciding what I want for lunch. There are no feelings involved, not even sexual ones. I can't really understand when people see someone and decide to approach them based solely on appearance. It just doesn't make sense to me because appearance isn't enough to get my attention. But as soon as I find out a bit about someone's personality, I don't look at them so clinically. If a guy fits my desired personality traits (funny, bordering on a bit goofy at times, sensitive, sweet etc etc) I will find myself attracted to him all of a sudden. Even guys who I think some women wouldn't call good looking, if he has a nice personality I'll be attracted to him, despite the fact that I wouldn't have given him the time of day before I got to see what he was like. I'm probably not explaining this very well but is it normal? And is there a name for this type of attraction?
