Is it normal i can only wear trousers 3 times before they start to smell funky?

That is, without wearing a pantyliner? It's expensive and harmful to the environment to keep buying them. Not to mention embarrassing to have people think I'm incontinent when they accidentally spot 'evidence' of wrappers or packaging in my bathroom or work bag (so help me, I'm a hot mess).

I don't smell bad 'down there' in general. I shower (almost) every day and I don't know of any infections. Of course, unbreatheable fabrics will always smell a bit when you start to sweat in them, but I'm talking about even my favourite jeans here.

I guess my real question is, if few other women have the same problem, does that mean I'm abnormally 'moist' as women go, and that's what makes my trousers smell bad? Or is there something else I'm not doing? Or do the rest of you gals wear pantyliners?

Dicks and pussies typically don't get a lot of airflow down there, so sweat and natural juices are gonna fester in a dark, airless space like that. Its normal. Though most people I know wash their pants after one use, at most two. I certainly can't wear them more than once due to how much I sweat lifting stuff at work. XD

      This.

I change mine daily. If I wear a skirt, I can wear it more times, but I'd prefer not to wear more than once, and the shorts I wear under are worn once.

In winter, you can get away with a couple of days.

Winter? Nah. Lol. My clothes are too sweaty for that. Though if I want to wear something again I do handwash it and hang it to dry overnight. XD

    • Wow you must go through a LOT of washing.

Nah. I wear a different pair of pants everyday and I take all the laundry and wash it on Fridays. That reminds me, I gotta do that today.

        • My launderette costs a lot and takes way too long... a load of washing sets me back about 10 euros (a little more than 11 dollars). But because I don't have a car, I can't really walk to the next launderette laden with all that washing, without some discomfort.

Have you considered buying a small camping washer or the like? They don't take up much space, they're not too expensive, afaik, and they're less time consuming than washing by hand.

Additionally, pantyliners aren't made for incontinence. That would be incontinence pads. You can get reusable cloth panty liners if you're concerned about the wrappers "giving you away" (though I doubt anyone cares. Many women use pantyliners).

Pantyliners can actually make things worse. They make an unbreathable situation worse by adding in plastic. If it's actual discharge that's the problem, fair enough. But if it's sweat (which is more than likely the cause of any odor, barring medical issues), then no pantyliner is a better option. If you're really concerned, bring a change of underwear.

              Maybe something like this:

              https://www.amazon.co.uk/KUPPET-Portable-Washing-Machine-Compact/dp/B07JZ8DNCP/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1550912659&sr=8-6&keywords=counter+top+washing+machine

Doing laundry in something like that is more work than taking it to a launderette, but it sounds like it might be cheaper and less hassle in your particular circumstances.

If it's inconvenient for you, then there's nothing wrong with trying to make the pants last.

  • I voted not normal. My pants very rarely smell funky from B.O. It's all contained in the underwear.

I've never noticed other women smelling, either.

Pantyliners could be why you've got a funk! But I don't wear panties nor the liners and I wear my pants 2 days with sleeping in the buff in between. Ladies bits are supposed to be musty!

  • As a guy I can only wear an outfit once before it needs a wash. If I'm home for the day and not doing much I can "recycle" it for another day or so.

Dont worry about the environment. Man is only responsible for 3% of pollution yearly. One California wildfire and one volvano eruption will out pollute 49382 nuclear bombs.
