Is it normal i broke down because something wouldn't download on my computer?

Sorry for any spelling errors, I'm typing on my phone at work. A few weeks ago, during spring break, I broke down because an addon wasn't working. Like, I literally broke down crying, sobbing my eyes out and snotting. For a good 15-20 minutes, I started to slam my computer screen (thank god it's alright), broke my coffee mug, my mouse, and trashcan, and then just sat on the floor for another 10 minutes staring at nothing.

I'm concerned for my mental health, because I do have depression and anxiety, but I didn't think that the mental health issues would result in a breakdown this big over something so SMALL

(Edit: for further information; I do sometimes do this in public on a smaller scale- for example my phone screen wasn't working so I started crying and smashing it into the wall next to my desk in school. The only person who saw this was my friend tho.
And I sometimes get random bursts of anger that gets taken out on the nearest object. I.e.- I was hugging my grandma and I suddenly got angry so I started squeezing harder and dug my fingers into her shoulders.)

Is this normal??

  • Its probably best that you see a therapist. My sister used to do similar things and was diagnosed with depressive psychosis or something like that. With counseling and a little medication she got much better in a fairly short time. Hope you get better.

You need a rubber room with no breakeables or sharp objects. Take your meds, straighten your beret, and try to get some sleep.

Unfortunatly, it does, and it's common in those with depression. You may need to see your therapist if you have one.
