  • As others have said, it sounds like cumulative damage.

    There's no doubt at all that alcohol is toxic in any dose and it causes damage to a whole range of internal organs. An initially healthy body can tolerate regular, heavy drinking for a while and it does its best to repair the damage as and when it happens, but eventually you hit the point where there's so much damage this just isn't possible.

    If you want to kill yourself, carry on drinking, but be aware that death by liver failure can be slow, painful, and extremely undignified. If you live in a place where medical care has to be paid for by the user or their family, it can also lead to very high medical bills for the dead idiot's family.

    Acute pancreatitis is another illness often suffered by chronic drunks. By all accounts, it's excruciatingly painful and another illness that often requires hospitalisation.
