  • Hi also a binge eater. I know how it feels, but trust me people are not nice when it comes to people like us.

    The thing with BED is that it is actually more of an emotional thing than you think. Try practicing mindful eating. How you can do this is when you're eating to actually take the time to savor your food. Keep yourself tether to reality and prevent from being disassociated to these binges. Often when it comes to binging because of emotions we arent actually thinking of the food at all. We just want our brains to make the happy chemicals.

    A good way to savor your food is to keep water or a drink on hand, so that you can sip between bites to cleanse your pallete and then when you go in for another bite, you can identify the tastes easier instead of zoning out and letting feelings take over. If you savor food long enough for it to digest you may also get feelings of fullness quicker, and that is when you know it is time to stop
