Is it normal i am curious about what will happen if i eat cheese?

Ok so I am not sure if I still have my dairy allergy. I remember I used to have a lot of mucus and cough ALOT from drinking milk, but I think I might have gotten rid of my dairy allergy. I heard that food allergies can go away.

Today I found out that I have a Vitamin D deficiency. I heard that cheese is a good source of Vitamin D, and I am a little curious to see what will happen if I have some cheese. Is that bad?

If I ate a piece of cheese and my mom found out, she would probably yell at me.

    • I am definitely planning on taking the supplement and getting more sun. But I don't like the idea of taking the supplements for the rest of my life. If I need to take the supplements for the rest of my life, I will, but it's far from ideal.

Get your mom involved if you can; you wont know until you try.

I have the same issue with certain ingredients in medicine, though not fatal, I have had noticeable reaction to it when I was a toddler. In my teens, I had to take medication for a short while from minor surgery, and it had those ingredients; so we gave it a try under parental supervision. Yeah, still allergic, but at least we know, because we too thought the allergy would go away.

So just sit your mom (or any responsible relative you feel safe with) down and voice your curiosity/concerns. See if she/he would be willing to help monitor you after you've ingested a bit of dairy.

Doctors have no idea what vitamins you need. How the fuck would they know. Anything they recommend is just a stupid wild ass guess.

I'm allergic to cow's milk, but I'm cool with dairy from other animals such as, goat and sheep. A lot of people who have issues with lactose go this route too. You might want to look into that. Red meat, maitake mushroom, eggs, carrots and golden berries all contain vitamin D.

Just be very careful. In my opinion, as someone with dairy allergy and lactose intolerant, I wouldn't eat it.
Just take a vitamin supplement you can get at Walmart.

Vitamin D is synthesized as a hormone in your body by skin exposure to SUNLIGHT. You should just sit in the sun daily for about 20 minutes mid-day.

If not that, you can take a Vit. D supplement. Since you know you're deficient, your Dr. should have given you a prescription or something.

If you have a dairy allergy, don't eat cheese. It's crappy!!!

If you want a non-dairy cheese try Daiya. It's completely non-dairy!!!! Yay!

Most kids who have dairy allergies do get better, my cousin couldn't eat anything at all when he was like 5, and he's now 15 (i reckon?) and he eats pizza with normal cheese

the doctor told his parents it was pretty normal to happen, but that was dairy. i dont know if it's the same with pumpkins and i wouldn't want you to die :(

You can be tested to see if you are lactose intolerant.
Sun is he best natural source of vitamin C.

You mean D right? I dont think vitamin c comes from the sun.

You could try it and see what would happen or you can try other foods that are rich in D vitamins. Google the words "foods rich in D Vitamins" and you'll find lists that don't include dairy.

    • My dairy allergy is not bad enough for me to die from having 1 bite of cheese. It's not that kind of food allergy.

Then try it in light doses. Maybe mixed in a salad. Just not too much at first. If your body is ok after a day or 2 then progress from there
