Is it normal i’m fascinated by this fact about the brain ?

It’s just a weird fact I always found interesting. Sometimes even before going to bed I visualize getting shot or stabbed or injured somehow in one side of my head and having the opposite side go numb. Of course that’s a bit extreme, but I think a good example of this is a clip from the carol Burnett show where Tim Conway used a numbing device on his head. I actually wonder if that’s possible, although it might be dangerous (the closest I’ve come is laying one side of my head on my bedpost and having the other side fall asleep).
