It never actually grew on me but I accepted it with some difficulty. It’s not that I’m homophobic or anything like that but it came as a huge shock to me. In the end I accepted it but I found it difficult when one minute he would be strutting round in his boxer shorts and looking like the guy I married, then the next day he takes his trousers off and he’s wearing a frilly little pair of knickers. I can’t really explain why but in the end I just felt I needed to know what to expect when I saw him taking his clothes off. I gave him the choice but told him it was all or nothing whatever he chose. But it was still our secret, if he starts wearing female outer clothing like dresses and skirts sooner or later he will get caught, then it’s out there and there’s no hiding it.
