Is it normal he gave me herpes????

A few weeks ago, I had protected sex with a new boyfriend. I have since developed sores around my anus (where I guess his balls would have been touching me without protection). We havent slept together since as we had some sex problems (he couldnt keep an erection with a condom, and I refused to Have sex without one, so we've been abstaining while we've been working on this issue). Then I developed the sores. I talked to him about it and asked him if he'd ever had any sores - he said yes, on his lips. I asked him if he'd ever had any genital sores and he said he's had spots but he's never paid attention to them because they went away quickly.

In other words, he has given me herpes. I HAVE GODDAMN HERPES. I am trying not to be furious with him, but he knew he'd had genital lesions and he didn't tell me, and NOW I HAVE HERPES.

Is It Normal?

    Yeah...It is always good to ask a new sex partner before sex if they have any STDs or if they think that they might have any STDs. You always take a risk when doing the deed with someone whether you use a condom or not. Some people are messed up and lie about being clean when they are really not. Also some people can go symptom free but still be infected and assume nothing is wrong. There are many treatments you can look into to put your outbreaks into remission. It sucks but it is what it is..

              Teehee, I think they changed because diseases are known to kill alot more often than infections, And since a large sum of STI/STDs are curable that means that they are not Diseases. Mind Blown.

      Caring about your partner enough to let them make an informed decision about whether to be with you or not!

      If he'd told me, I wouldn't have broken up with him. I'd have waited longer to have sex and decided whether he was worth it or not. Withholding it from me just seems unfair and selfish.

      the earliest appointment i could get was for wednesday - but i am 100 percent sure already. i got a cold, i've developed these blisters - he said he's had cold sores and he gave me oral sex. honestly, i wish you were right but i am sure. i'm just waiting for the doctor to confirm.

        Or you have one of those cases where it seems like herpes and its just a normal cold. Anyways, I apologize for the "dumbass" remark. Had a bit of a "tiff" over phone with "jihad from microsoft" and I was a little less than pleased at the end. back on topic... Blisters can actually happen from anal and not be herpes so keep you chin up kid. :3

          haha I didn't have anal! there really doesn't seem to be much else it could be, so i'm just trying to deal with the fact it's super common and hopefully i'll meet someone at some point who can deal with it. not much else i can do now. cheers for the advice though, if you turn out to be right i'll report back!

              I went to see a doctor and by looking at it, they said it doesn't look like herpes. But they took a swab and I won't find out the actual results for a week.
