Is it normal gillette, wtf?

IIN, wtf is with the Gillette razors commercials? Can we look forward to the day when Procter and Gamble lectures women on Toxic Femininity in tampon ads? That would signal true equality. What kind of moron thinks only men are capable of bad behavior or immorality? What's your opinion of their ads?

I dont watch ads, they're all stupid. Also, you basically took the bait by being upset about useless product placement. Im pretty sure there are plenty of ads that would be considered "sexist against women" but if you whine about that you get called a feminazi or something. Times are changing and now insecure Men/conservatives/anti-feminists are becoming the SJWs out of spite, as "feminists" have become the sexists. Kind of funny to just sit back and watch the potentially endless cycle of hypocrisy as people are fighting fire with gasoline.

    • Unless their intention was to drive away buyers I don't think I took the bait. Other razor companies will be reaping the benefits.

It's funny because apparently who their appealing to don't use razors a lot to begin with.

Anyway, I'm saying you took the bait of whoever told you to be mad about it.

        • Maybe Gillette is trying to appeal to more women thus secretly promoting smooth pussies.

Ex: the women get so excited and to show their approval of the ads they go buy Gillette razors. Then they figure, well I got the razor I might as well shave my cooch.

Yeah the ad was stupid, but getting upset over it is a waste of energy and emotions.

Ok, A) Sexism isn't just for men hating women, reverse sexism isn't a thing. B) I don't think toxic masculinity is the idea that only men can act immorally. It's a problem with men acting as if they have to be absolute dipshits just to keep their fragile masculinity from falling apart, and that they have to combat other people in pissing contests and arguing with other dudes about how much more testosterone they have as opposed to the other.
EDIT: It also does not refer to all men, but the select few that have this rare form of absolute retardation.

I put whatever. Why because it's not as big of a deal that people make it out to be yes it was a stupid ad that was trying to be preachy but there are plenty of dumber ads out there way to many actually. To me it's just one of many but if you hate it that's your thing and to a degree I can understand why I just don't get the reasoning behind being mad at it 24/7.

    • Because you would never see such an ad aimed at women's bad behavior or mention Toxic Femininity. Sends the message Men are bad and women are princesses. That is not equality.

Like I said I can see why you or others wouldn't like it. I personally don't care for the so called gender wars I think both sides are silly and no side is going to win. So why even bother I don't have time to hate a ad that has little effect on my life I saw the video and didn't feel attacked I felt alittle bit of cringe but that was it.

Gillette is trash and I'm into Wilkinson Sword now. I can't say I'm affected, but it's my way of punishing them for misusing the marketing techniques and portraying me as a rapist fuckhead corrected by a negroid. I believe customers should use their rights to make a change and to have an impact on what corporations do with our image.

  • If people didn’t give it attention, it wouldn’t matter.

Like if all of sudden, nobody cared about celebrities, then they wouldn’t be famous anymore. and it wouldn’t matter

I've only seen the news reports about a "controversy", not the advert itself. More made up "news".

Honestly the person that came up with it is a marketing genius with all the free publicity.

As for the content, since I haven't seen it I can't comment.

It's remarkable how far we've fallen. In 1989, they released an extremely empowering commercial, that actually makes you want to buy their razors. In 2019, they devote all their airtime to shaming men as if they had some original sin for being a man.

The 2019 ad is nowhere near as effective as the 1989 one. Unless our advertising companies have gotten much worse in the past 30 years (they haven't) we can reason out the point of this commercial wasn't to sell razors. Either they're hamfisting an anti-masculinity agenda or they hope to short the stock and buy it back when it's low.

Well, I guess I can finally try out Dollar Shave club's 1$ start kit thing... Cause I'm definitely not buying any more of Gillette's crap.

I refuse to get a feminazi scolding for being a man from a razor company, whose survival depends on MEN!!!

Unfortunately that razor product is also tide with hundres of other products of the same company. It’s impossible to boycott the company into submission on this one.
Just join dollar shave club if you are pissed about it.

It was sexist, yes. But it's obviously been made to be controversial to get everyone talking about it. It worked...
